We organize refugee youth soccer trainings and participate in soccer competitions, play friendly marches, homework support classes, assisting children and young people in doing their school assignments, cultural dance training and also participate in cultural dancing competition, and also for communities friendly entertainments ,and we also organize community information sessions, including workshops and seminars, particularly on settlement issues in NSW.
We also cater for usable second hand items, academic textbooks, and computers for the refugees,educational materials for children and young people in Sierra Leone.

A BRIEF BACKGROUND OF SIERRA UNITE ASSOCIATION Inc.
The idea of forming the association came about on the 9th of January 2005. That was the time when 12 dynamic, dedicated, committed and peace loving Sierra Leoneans in NSW Australia, decided to come together as brothers and sisters in Diaspora. Now the association has over 60 members.
Some of the main aims of forming such an organization, is to serve as a forum to discuss and share ideas amongst Sierra Leoneans about the development of the young people in NSW, especially in terms of children and young people developmental issues in the Sierra Leone community in Australia especially in NSW, such as educational, cultural and social development and also those war affected and street children of our 11 years war ravaged country “Sierra Leone.” Which are in dare need of developmental assistance as mentioned above, especially from individual philanthropists, organizations and the international communities for it reconstruction, for which Sierra Unite Association is also committed to. Since the official inception of the organization in November 2005, it has being extremely doing very well, particularly in terms of young people’s developmental programs.
The following were some of the programs being conducted by the organization, such as young people “Under Fourteen” soccer training, homework support classes, community workshops, seminars, outing “camp” and the training of the association’s young people cultural dance troop.
Because of the total support and commitment of the association’s members and members of the Sierra Leone community in NSW, SIERRA UNITE Inc. was able to achieve its goals. By been able to implement the above-mentioned programs successfully.
